FUN LEARNING – SONG, DANCE, MOVEMENT
English, when taught the rote learning style, becomes mechanical. Children have a hard time in trying to apply the language in their daily life. Songs and dance induce a lot of fun in learning, which ultimately, is what that is close to the heart of the young kids. Besides that, it allows them to grasp the language easily, as compared to when they are forced to do too many worksheets. Songs, dance and movements help young children express themselves better, and at the same time, they become more self-aware. Songs and dance are also great tools that build self-confidence.
CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH / JOLLY PHONICS
To be able to use the language well, the British Castle programme pays close attention to pronunciation and the ability to understand the sounds of the language well. Therefore, we pay close attention to phonics, and use the jolly phonics method, to make the learning of the sounds interesting and fun. Besides that, students will be able to remember what they learnt for a long time, and it will facilitate their application of the language into daily life situation.
DIALOGUE & EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION
Dialogue and effective communication are closely related to drama in language acquisition.
Drama enhances imagination. It focuses on many different aspects of the language such as vocabulary and sentence building as well as conversational English. Besides that, Drama builds character. Drama encourages children to express their thoughts and emotions freely, without being judged for it. When this happens, children will learn that language is a friend to them in expressing how they feel. They will start to love the language and they will feel confident in using the language as well.
One of the objectives of this programme is to instill confidence among children. At the end of this programme, children will find it easy to be able to speak in front of an audience. The child is coached by our instructors over a period that allows for confidence building, which is key when it comes to public speaking. They will be taught about gestures, posture, how to address audience and son on and so forth. This, over time, will develop the child to be a successful public speaker.
